Trek 2024

This year's Youth Conference theme, as chosen by our youth, is "Gathering As One", in reference to the gathering of Israel in preparation for the Second Coming of our Savior Jesus Christ in the last days. Uniting as sons and daughters of God, irrespective of nationality, race, gender, or age we are all called to Gather Israel throughout the world.

The pioneer journey of early members of the restored Church across the wilderness to the Salt Lake valley and their great sacrifice are a symbol and reminder that God has begun a "marvelous work and a wonder" in these latter days, the dispensation of the fullness of times. Many lives and sacrifices were offered up so that our generation could live the covenants and prophecies that are being fulfilled today. For this reason we honor those pioneer ancestors that with so much faith crossed the plains and the Rocky Mountains to establish a standard to all nations, so that all children of God that are part of the house of Israel, whether by blood or by covenant, can gather to Jesus Christ, the Holy one of Israel.

From the Church's Trek handbook: "Treks are physically demanding. Participants should take seriously any preparation they may need to make so they are physically fit enough to safely hike the distances involved, unless they have a limiting disability. Each youth and each adult should be prepared to walk three miles an hour and be capable of walking up to 10 miles (we will not be going this far :)) a day while helping pull a heavy handcart. Taking practice hikes and preparing to walk uphill will also be beneficial. Many participants will benefit from improving their physical fitness before a trek."

Trek is an amazing physical and spiritual experience, and we are so excited for this opportunity to learn more about the pioneers that trekked west and honor our pioneer ancestors from around the world.

Registration is due April 30.

Trek is June 20-22 2024.

All online registration forms need to be completed by April 30.

A Permission and Medical Release form must have a parent/guardian signature. The form is under the Youth Conference tab.
